This design has been framed using a round mat which a lot of stitchers don't take to as framers charge excessively to do. I have seen this design framed using a square mat and it looks superb, in fact, I believe looks much better, because I think the mat is much too heavy and takes away from the design, so don't be discouraged because of that.
