I was indeed honored to observe this cracked, slightly yellowed, with sculptural paint strokes on this remarkable piece. There was a mysterious power in the hundred of petalled roses strewn on the grass in a tapestry. The flowing locks of Botticelli’s Venus silently flow. Entire gardens were embroidered on dresses. The architecture was dripping with the magic carvings of ancient artisans. This design is the interpretation of the otherworldly beauty frozen in time at a glance of a painted maiden.
